Labour suspended MP Ivan Lewis over sexual harassment claims
The party say the former International Development minister is suspended pending sexual harassment investigation.
It follows allegations reported by Buzzfeed News that he had touched a woman’s leg and invited her to his house at a Labour Party event in 2010.
Lewis, who was International Development minister under Gordon Brown, last month denied sexually harassing a 19-year-old girl, but accepted his behaviour to female colleagues had been “unwelcome”.
Mr Lewis is one of a number of MPs who are being investigated over allegations about past conduct towards women.
