Police are investigating after evidence of Class A and B class drugs was discovered in two locations at a historic landmark.

 

Three Rivers distric councillor Martin Brooks, who is also the chairman of the Leavesden Hospital History Association said: “It is worrying that we still have local young people placing their health at risk by using these dangerous and deadly chemical substances".

 

Hertfordshire Constabulary, Sergeant Barry Eldridge, part of the Abbots Langley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Officers are conducting additional patrols to help tackle the anti-social behaviour and suspected drug use on the old Leavesden Hospital site. We are also working in partnership with the Three Rivers District Council to tackle these issues.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to warn those who engage in this sort of activity that it will not be tolerated and police action will be taken where appropriate.”
