Police have now arrested Three Teenegars in connection with a Murder investigation.

 

Detectives investigating the death of an 18-year-old man in Westfield Road, Berkhamsted, on Friday (February 23) have made two arrests.

 

UPDATE 26th - A teenage girl from Hemel Hempstead has been arrested in connection with the murder of an 18 year old man from Berkhamsted.

 

Yesterday evening (Sunday February 25), a teenage girl from Hemel Hempstead was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and assisting an offender.

 

This follows the aresst of two teenage males from Watford in connection with the incident this morning (Sunday February 25).

 

All three remain in police custody at this time.

 

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the incident.

 

Today (Sunday 25th) at 3pm the Mother and Family came to lay flowers at the base of a tree in Westfield Road just walking distance from their home.

15 minutes or so later friends then proceeded to join them who also laid flowers and balloons with 'Love you' written on it.

A man who was found in Westfield Road at 10.17pm suffering from a serious leg injury died at the scene.

 

The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene in Westfield Road, Berkhamsted, on Friday night.

 

Hertfordshire Police has renewed its appeal for anybody with information to come forward.

 

Officers were alerted by the ambulance service who then attended the incident immediately.

 

However within a short time after the man, believed to be an 18-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene. On Facebook his name "Jordan" has been mentioned.

 

The death is being considered as suspicious by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit who have started a murder investigation.

A cordon was set up in Westfield Road as scenes of crime investigators gathered evidence in the area.

 

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Branston from the MCU said: “This is a fast moving investigation with a number of lines of enquiry which we are currently pursuing. I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact police as soon as possible.”

 

Paul Mitson, Chief Inspector for Dacorum, said: “I know this incident will come has as a shock to people in Berkhamsted. We are committed to finding out exactly what happened and residents may have seen a significant policing presence in the town today as we investigate the circumstances around this tragic death. 

 

“We are increasing the number of officers on patrol in the area today and this evening. Please feel free to approach them if you have any concerns.”
