  • Feb 22 - Fresh appeal following murder of 17-year-old boy in Camden

    At 8:30pm on Tuesday, 20 February, a teenager dead at the scene following stab injuries in Bartholomew Road, NW5.

    Detective Chief Inspector Considine said: “Our investigation is in its early stages but we are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances which led to a young man losing his life. We are also continuing to try and establish whether this is linked to the non-fatal stabbing that took place a little earlier that evening in Aldenham Street, NW1, and the fatal stabbing that took place a short time later in Malden Road, NW5.

     

  • Feb 22 - Mohamed Hamza Riaz, 21, of Tadworth Road, NW2 has been jailed for five years after police found a shotgun and live ammunition at a residential address in Brent.

    On Wednesday, 17 January at 5am, officers from Brent’s Gangs Unit and the Met’s Specialist Firearms Command, raided Riaz’s home address. Officers located a rucksack containing a Rizzini double-barrelled shotgun with a shortened 'sawn-off' barrel and five live shotgun cartridges.Mohamed Hamza Riaz, 21, of Tadworth Road, NW2 has been jailed for five years after police found a shotgun and live ammunition at a residential address in Brent.

     

  • Feb 22 - Mohammed Shaikh, 48 of Amberden Avenue, N3 sentenced to a total of three years and four months’ imprisonment at Harrow Crown Court on Thursday, 22 February.

    Dangerous driving: He has been disqualified from driving for a total of six years and three months, and will be required to take an extended driving test upon his release.

    He came around the left hand bend and mounted the footway colliding with a vehicle and the two officers on a footpath on the A406 North Circular ; PC Appleton was struck first while PC Clark was trapped between the vehicle and a house. on Tuesday, 16 January.

     

  • Feb 14 - Shafi Mohammed Saleem, 28, of east London, who used in excess of 20 Twitter and Instagram handles to post a number of images online promoting Daesh has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for encouraging terrorism.

     

  • Feb 14 - Mujahid Arshid, 33, of Homefield Gardens, Mitcham, sentenced to life with a minimum of 40 years for the the murder of 20-year-old Celine Dookhran.

     

  • Feb 14 - Haaris Rana, 22,of Stainby Close, West Drayton, found guilty of murdering student Seyyed Rast Mir-Feyzi in Finchley last summer, has been jailed for life.

     

  • Feb 14 - Three males were found guilty on Wednesday, 14 February, of the murder of Croydon teenager Jermaine Goupall. A woman was found guilty of manslaughter.

    Adam Benzahi, 21, of Croydon; Samuel Oliver-Rowland, 18 of Epsom Road, Croydon; and Junior Simpson, 17, of Northdown Crescent, Croydon were found guilty of murder following a trial at the Old Bailey which started on 8 January.

    Saskia Haye-Elliot, 18 of Northdowns Crescent, Croydon was found guilty of manslaughter.

    Jermaine, 15, was with friends outside the Costcutter shop in Green Lane, Croydon on the evening of 8 August 2017 when a silver-coloured Ford Focus car pulled up and a number of people wearing balaclavas and armed with knives and a machete got out and chased them.
