London fire: Terrified residents 'jumped from 15th floor' AP

Theresa May orders public inquiry into Grenfell tower blaze.

 

JUNE 24 - Residents evacuated from Camden tower blocks due to having same flammable cladding and fail fire safety.

 

It is believed that up to 600 people were in the 120 one- and two-bedroom flats of the block at the time of the fire. Sixty-five were rescued by firefighters.

 

79 people have died after the large fire that engulfed the 27-floor Grenfell Tower in London.

 

Forensic scientists will work to establish a point of origin for the devastating fire.

 

Today House of Lords are discussing the issues that need to be raised in the inquiry.

Grenfell Tower had £9m refurbishment but no sprinklers before deadly inferno

 

A residents action group added it had repeatedly warned Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO,)  which manages the social housing block, and the council, which owns the building.
